Julie is a happy, health-conscious foodie who loves to get creative in the kitchen.
Her healthy eating habits (and her love for good quality coffee) were instilled by her parents at a young age. She comes from a large, close knit family where she was the 6th of 7 children. She grew up eating salad and steamed vegetables for dinner every night. Her dad was an unconventional, “larger than life” man who grew his own fruits and veggies, composted for his garden and took a slew of vitamins long before it was the “in” thing to do.
Her parents loved their coffee and were always trying new and different brewing methods.
She later spent time in New York following a passion for theater and worked as a professional singer during the 80’s through the late 90’s. Over the years, she has tried and tested all types of diets including low-carb, low-fat, sugar-free and even spent a (long) year as a raw food vegan! She is now a newly-wed living with her family in a small suburb of New York. She follows a modified Paleo diet – striving for balance, health and happiness!
